On track towards 50:50 gender parity at ENGIE Energy Access
ENGIE is proactively increasing gender equality in leadership positions and is aiming for 50-50 parity across the Group by 2030
Our ENGIE Energy Access Zambia team achieved a major feat in this area in January – by succeeding in creating a 50-50 gender-equal management, which reflects our core value of Diversity.
Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, we celebrate Zambia's wealth of experienced female leaders including: (pictured above, left to right) Cassandra Mhone, Head of Commercial; Mweemba Chuunka, Head of Customer Experience; Natasha Chansa Yambayamba, Head of HR; and Helen Zulu, Head of Customer Finance.
Mangiza Phiri, Country Director ENGIE Energy Access Zambia, said: “Africa has a long way to go in terms of attaining some key human development milestones. Having more women serve in leadership roles will help Africa attain these goals even quicker. “Additionally, the diversity of thought, approach to problem-solving and leadership style is also something that businesses deprive themselves of when they do not have enough diversity on their leadership teams. Diversity is good business.”
