Warning about fraud and scam attempts!
ENGIE has been informed of identity theft attempts targeting the company for fraudulent purposes in Zimbabwe. Recently observed fraud attempts have involved people trying to pass themselves off as ENGIE representatives to steal money from individuals.
What does the fraud involve?
A Company taking on the ENGIE brand and pretending to be an e-commerce platform that manufactures and rents solar equipment and sells solar power in Zimbabwe. Instigation to register on this platform and invest money with a promise of huge financial returns.
The ENGIE Group does not have a company or direct activities in Zimbabwe and is not targeting individuals to invest in projects. So be aware that this content is a scam not related to ENGIE in any way.
En quoi consiste cette fraude ?
Une personne/société qui utilise frauduleusement la marque ENGIE et se fait passer pour une plateforme de commerce électronique qui fabrique et loue des équipements solaires et vend de l'énergie solaire au Zimbabwe. Cette personne/société incite à s'inscrire sur une plateforme et à investir de l'argent tout en promettant d'énormes retours sur investissement.
Le groupe ENGIE n'a pas de société ni d'activité directe au Zimbabwe et ne cherche pas à inciter les particuliers à investir dans des projets de cette nature: ce contenu est une escroquerie qui n'a rien à voir avec ENGIE.
